These are people’s voices who have used the best-selling in Japan – Netflix original Korean dramas and Lancome essence lotion. But we are curious about this. What was the point that you didn’t want to use it anymore? When was it?

What do you expect?
This post talks about the two sides that people leave you and buy other products – One is that it cannot meet their expectations. The other is that people compare and cannot gain more than others. We learned that it’s essential to know it because we help clients that sell products and services.
It’s easy to get when it is worse than your expectations – lousy quality, hard to use, and no value in trying it anymore. What should you do? It’s simple. You’d better keep improving the quality of what you are offering. In our case, as a customer, we buy Uniqlo. Basic clothing. It’s one of our favourites. When we buy a pair of jeans, we compare other brands in terms of design, fits and price. Of course, our expectations are high because we think that the items we’ve bought were more satisfying than the other brands. The result is good, but if we find it hard to use it near future, we might change it to another brand.

But what about the latter? Some people see value in getting more benefits than other people. Not other products. They do it before purchasing. If you could learn more advantages than others, it’s more likely to have higher expectations and buy it. If not, it’s more likely to stop buying it. Now, in the case of the best-selling in Japan, how was it? Netflix’s Korean dramas might have spread big through word of mouth. Lancome gains more good reviews on sites from influencers than Shiseido. The review sites or word of mouth is a tool of how much you could get more value than others. As you sensed, other products will inform you of more gains than others sooner or later.
Now, there is a question. How do you attract those people? A Japanese influencer, yukos0520, gives us a hint. She says in her book, “targeting fewer people and be visible to who will be coming, and it will be easier to deliver what you want because people know the values as others get.”
To conclude, it’s fundamental to know that people demand the product’s quality, and some hope to gain more than others. Make sure that you are clear on it and ways to guide their purchases.
